This Is Yet Another Reason Bulls Fans Love Joakim Noah

(CBS) Joakim Noah is undoubtedly the Bulls' emotional leader, and he's the NBA's reigning defensive player of the year.

These traits extend to the stretches during which Noah is resting on the bench as well, as we found out Monday night.

Late in the third quarter of a 129-120 win against Toronto at the United Center, Noah was crouching on the sideline when Raptors wing Terrence Ross found himself wide open in the corner in front of the Bulls' bench. It was a blown defensive assignment -- but that didn't mean Ross didn't have to deal with a distraction.

Acting on instinct (we assume), Noah hopped out of his crouching position and toward Ross. While Ross still had plenty of room to shoot, Noah went so far that both feet landed on the playing court. The 3-pointer was drained anyway.

Perhaps Noah is straddling the bounds of gamesmanship here, but you have to chuckle at his intensity.
