Shoppers Scramble For Last-Minute Christmas Gifts

(CBS) -- Shoppers are also out in force on Christmas Eve looking for last minute gifts. CBS 2's Suzanne Le Mignot caught up with some of them.

Amid the holiday music and bright Christmas lights, are last minute shoppers trying to find the gifts that are just right.

Lisa Green-Fuller arrived at Orland Square Mall at 7 a.m. and still had to buy gifts for everyone on her list.

"Always wait until the last minute," she said.

Many shoppers at the mall say not enough time is the main reason for not having their Christmas shopping done.

"I bought my girlfriend a Pandora necklace and a pendant, I guess, or whatever," said Khari Ricks.

Candace Cage says she has a good reason for shopping at the last minute.

"Traffic is not that bad. We didn't have to do the valet, we just pulled into the lot, we actually got a spot three spots from the door. So it's not that bad as people may think," she said.

One of the more popular last minute shopping was destinations Pandora, with a line out the door.

"It's a good present to get 'cause if you have not so many ideas, there's so many things in here, different charms and stuff like that, that make the shopping thing a lot easier," said shopper Joe Wright.

Orland Square Mall closes at 6 p.m.
