Gasol 3rd In Frontcourt, Rose 5th Among Guards In Early All-Star Voting

(CBS) Bulls big man Pau Gasol is third in the frontcourt in the first returns for Eastern Conference All-Star voting, while point guard Derrick Rose is fifth among those in the backcourt.

LeBron James (552,967) and Carmelo Anthony (265,170) led the frontcourt voting among those in the Eastern Conference. Gasol had 247,953 votes. Teammate Joakim Noah was sixth.

Rose garnered 105,465 votes and trails John Wall (299,209), Dwyane Wade (265,917), Kyrie Irving (237,356) and Kyle Lowry (182,896) in the Eastern Conference backcourt. Bulls wing Jimmy Butler is sixth in the voting.

Fans choose the All-Star Game starters. Voting can be found at NBA.com and ends on Jan. 19.
