Police Release Surveillance Images In Red Line Robbery

(CBS) – Chicago police are asking in identifying four suspects who allegedly robbed a CTA passenger after soliciting donations for a basketall team.

The strong-arm robbery occurred Dec. 7 on the Red Line between the 47th and Garfield stops. Police say one of the men asked a 21-year-old CTA rider for a donation, and the passenger offered $5.

The suspect demanded more money, began hitting the rider and took his iPod. Police say three other suspects jumped in, and one of them stole cash out of the man's pocket. All four fled at the 55th Street stop.

Anyone with information is asked to call (312) 747-8382.
