Report: Buccaneers Interview Trestman For Offensive Coordinator Position

(CBS) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have interviewed recently fired Bears coach Marc Trestman for their vacant offensive coordinator position, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

If Trestman gets the job, he will be working under his predecessor, former Bears head coach Lovie Smith.

It would also be an opportunity for Trestman to reunite with quarterback Josh McCown, who played under Trestman during the 2013 season. McCown threw for 1,829 yards, 13 touchdowns and just one interception in replacing the injured Jay Cutler. McCown reportedly endorsed Trestman for the position.

McCown and Trestman were even spotted at the beach together.
