Pair Charged After Postal Service Intercepts Package Stuffed With Pot

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two west suburban men are facing felony charges after the U.S. Postal Service intercepted 19 pounds of marijuana mailed to one of the men.

A package containing more than 19 pounds of marijuana addressed to 20-year-old Mark A. Sudds was intercepted by the U.S. Postal Service, according to a statement from the DuPage County sheriff's office.

Undercover detectives from the the sheriff's office then arrested Sudds and another man, 26-year-old Michael Grassman, according to the statement.

Sudds, of the 300 block of Cimarron East in Lombard, was charged with unlawful delivery of cannabis, according to the statement.

Grassman, of Carol Stream, faces one county of cannabis trafficking.

Both men are being held at the DuPage County Jail and are scheduled to appear in bond court Tuesday morning.
