Cubs Sell Spring Training Home Naming Rights To Sloan Valve

(CBS) The Cubs have sold naming rights to their spring training facility in Mesa, Ariz., to Sloan Valve Company as part of a new partnership, they announced Thursday. The facility that opened in 2014 was previously called Cubs Park.

Sloan Valve is a commercial plumbing company that makes flush valves and other products for restrooms. Sloan Vale will join on as a "Legacy Partner" of the Cubs. The Cubs will utilize Sloan products at the facility.

"Teaming up with Sloan — another family-owned company based in Chicago with more than a century of history — is an important move for the Cubs as we look to provide clean and sustainable water solutions for our facilities in both Mesa and Chicago," Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts said in a statement.
