Nuns Allege Prostitution At Stone Park Strip Club

By John Dodge

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Inside the walls of a west suburban "gentlemen's club" men and women engage in the practice of "high friction, full physical contact," according to a lawsuit filed by a group of nuns who live next door.

This is legalese for a "lap dance" and the nuns are alleging that it is illegal prostitution.

Initially, the Sisters Of Saint Charles wanted authorities to shut down Club Allure in Stone Park because they charged that the establishment was within 1,000 feet of a place of worship, a violation of zoning laws.

Now, the sisters' lawyers contend the "high friction contact" "for the purpose of causing sexual arousal" in exchange for cash is prostitution under state law, according to court documents.

"Plaintiffs thus further contend, and they are urging this Court to make a judicial declaration, that such bodily full contact, including touching or fondling and/or high friction rubbing, as advertised and paid for ... constitutes the crime of 'prostitution,' " according to court documents.

In addition to the zoning violation, which has been alleged in the past, the sisters now want the club to be declared a public nuisance and shuttered.

Representatives from Club Allure were not immediately available for comment.
