Taylor Swift Has Chosen Her Date to the GRAMMYs & It's Probably Not You

By Philip Cosores

Taylor Swift hadn't yet announced her +1 GRAMMYs date until a few minutes ago. Before then, perhaps the chance still remained for all of us. Maybe it was me. Maybe I was Taylor Swift's GRAMMYs date. Sure, it would be unlikely for most of us (except the Haim sisters or maybe Lorde), but there was still a chance.

Well, that chance is gone, as all of us save one now know that we are not Taylor Swift's date to the GRAMMYs. It's Abigail Anderson, who might not be Swift's most famous friend, but it is one of her longest-standing. And probably the one that couldn't get invited on her own due to her lack of musical accomplishments.

If you feel jealous, don't. Anderson had to put in serious time to be Swift's wingwoman. Years of supporting Swift through her county fair shows and national anthems regular season sporting events. Anderon has paid her dues.

Swift is up for three GRAMMY awards this year, all for "Shake It Off," including Song and Record of the Year. She'll also hand out an award as a presenter.

Catch Swift and others on the GRAMMYs this Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on CBS. Follow along with our live blog here.
