Police: Man Shot And Killed In Austin
A 30-year-old man was shot to death late Monday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood, police said.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 11:10 a.m. found the victim in the 200 block of South Lotus Avenue, according to preliminary information from police.
He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
