Cindy Crawford, Untouched Photos & 15 Tips for Body Acceptance

By Wendy Widom

CHICAGO (CBS) — All across social media, Cindy Crawford's leaked, untouched photos have ignited conversations among women struggling with body acceptance after having kids. Today, we brought together a group of local moms and wellness professionals to talk about achieving a positive self image, no matter what your age, size or where you are in life. Here's their advice:

Hannah El-Amin, Nutritionist, Nutrition That Fits

1. Stand in front of a mirror, take it all in, and make a list of all the things you absolutely love about yourself.

2. Remind yourself of the things you love about yourself every day.

3. Compliment yourself.

4. Appreciate what's beautiful about you. Say things like "I like that my skin is soft" or "I like my eyes."

Samantha Shultz, Blogger, The Peanuts Gang

5. Talk to the next generation and tell them they are beautiful, regardless of what society may tell them is beautiful.

6. Set a good example and promote a culture of acceptance so we can avoid bullying.

7. Get in pictures with your kids now. Don't wait until you lose weight.

8. Make a decision to love yourself, every single day.

9. Don't say bad things about yourself, EVER. Your kids hear you, even when you think they don't.

10. Change your internal narrative. Be positive about yourself.

11. Find a community. Partner with a friend to find one positive thing to say about each other every time you get together.

Lande Sanusi, Founder, C.A.K.E. Village

12. It all starts internally. Be confident with yourself.

13. Find hobbies that make you feel good and remember your looks are not what make you feel happy.

14. Talk to your kids, both boys and girls, about what average, everyday women look like. They need to know not everyone looks like a model.

15. Make sure your kids see you in your element.
