Bulls Stand Pat At Trade Deadline

(CBS) The Bulls weren't expected to be active leading up to the trade deadline, and on an otherwise wild day in the NBA, they did indeed stand pat.

The biggest Bulls news of Thursday was that Mike Dunleavy (ankle), Jimmy Butler (shoulder) and Kirk Hinrich (toe) are all listed as probable to play in Friday's road game against the Pistons. Point guard Derrick Rose also returned to practice after missing Wednesday's session because of travel troubles.

There won't be any new faces joining Chicago, for now at least. On a day that, according to early reports, saw Goran Dragic go to Miami, Kevin Garnett go back to Minnesota, Isaiah Thomas move to Boston, Brandon Knight head to Phoenix and Enes Kanter get flipped to Oklahoma City, Chicago didn't make a roster move.

The team the Bulls began the season with will largely be the one they win or lose with.

"We feel good about our team," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said.

With ample room below the luxury tax, Chicago will certainly monitor the buyout market for an end-of-the rotation player who could fit. In that regard, adding a wing would be the most likely scenario. Timberwolves wing Kevin Martin's name was floated by the Tribune's K.C. Johnson as a name the Bulls could look at.

March 1 is the deadline for buyout players to be added to a new roster and still be eligible for the playoffs.
