Police Release Surveillance Photos Of Suspect In Shooting Of Teen
(CBS) Chicago Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in the shooting of a teen boy last month.
On Feb. 16, police say the an unknown male approached a 16-year-old boy in the 6200 block of S. Cottage Grove, produced a handgun and then fired it at the boy as he was fleeing.
Police say the the boy was wounded in the back and taken to University of Chicago Hospital in serious condition.
The suspect is described by police as a black male with short hair, 16-18 years old, between 6'0 and 6"2 and weighing between 150-160 pounds.
Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
