Samoa Girl Scout Cookie Morphs Into A Doughnut
By John Dodge
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Of all the Girl Scout cookies, the thin mint seems to get all of the attention.
But the Samoa, a delicious combination of chocolate, caramel and coconut, is starting to get the notice it deserves.
First, a Girl Scout poll found that the Samoa is more-favored that the Thin Mint, although actual cookie sales would indicate otherwise.
Second, the Samoa can be turned into a doughnut.
According to a recipe devised by Thrillist, creating the treat is labor intensive: more than three hours of prep time for a half dozen.
Others have also devised similar recipes.
It just might be worth the effort.
