Hippity Hoppity Good Forecast For Easter Weekend

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A bright and cheery weekend is in store for the Chicago area for Easter, though there is a very slight chance for a few flakes of snow Friday night, as temperatures drop below freezing.

A few scattered sprinkles are possible on Friday, and temperatures are expected to top out in the low 50s, then begin dropping to much chillier levels overnight. By then, the chances of precipitation are minimal, but there remains a small chance of a mix of snow and drizzle, with a low of about 30 degrees, before temperatures return to normal by Saturday afternoon.

Forecasts call for very little chance of any precipitation over the Easter weekend, and Sunday could bring temperatures in the low 60s, with partly sunny and slightly breezy conditions.

However, the start of next week will be dreary, with rain in the forecast most of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
