16-Year-Old Boy Fatally Shot On South Side
(CBS) -- A 16-year-old boy was fatally shot in the West Englewood neighborhood Saturday, according to Police News Affairs.
Police say they responded to reports of shots fired on the 6500 block of South Marshfield around 12:18 p.m. and found the victim lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Holy Cross Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the victim had gang affiliations. No one is in custody.
