About 30 minutes earlier, a man was shot in the South Side Park Manor neighborhood.

The man, 35, was inside a business in the 500 block of East 79th Street about 8 p.m. when someone outside fired shots, police said. He was shot in the arm and took himself to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized.

Earlier Thursday afternoon, two people were shot at a park in the Southwest Side Ashburn neighborhood.

The males were getting into a car in the 2900 block of West 85th Street at 12:35 p.m. when another vehicle pulled up and someone fired shots, police said. Francis D. Hayes Park is located at that address.

A 30-year-old man was shot in the back and another male, whose age was not known, was shot in the arm, police said. They took themselves to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

A police source said the shooting may be gang and drug-related.

Less than 90 minutes earlier, two people, a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, were hurt in a drive-by shooting in Englewood.

The pair were walking in the 6400 block of South Laflin at 11:11 a.m. when shots were fired, possibly from a passing vehicle, police said.

The 19-year-old man was hit in the arm and taken to Stroger Hospital; and the younger boy was shot in the leg and taken to St. Bernard Hospital, police said. Both were listed in good condition.

About 1:40 a.m., a woman was shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Sie.

The woman, 30, was driving about 1:40 a.m. in the 5400 block of South May when she heard gunfire and realized she'd been shot, police said. The woman suffered a graze wound to the head and drove herself to Stroger Hospital, where her condition was stabilized.
