Chicago Pastor: Rioting Could Happen Here, Too
Pastor Brooks To Travel To Baltimore
(CBS) – The unrest in Baltimore has inspired Chicago pastor Corey Brooks to head there.
Books says much of urban America is a powder keg.
"It's going to continue to happen, and it's going to continue to get worse," he tells WBBM Newsradio's Terry Keshner.
Brooks says he'll be in Baltimore, to help his fellow pastor, Jamal Bryant, who gave the eulogy at Freddie Gray's funeral. Gray died from spinal cord injuries after being taken into custody by Baltimore police.
"These types of things can happen here in Chicago, and that's one of the reasons I want to go to Baltimore. Because I want to make sure I understand the dynamic and everything before an event like this happens in Chicago," Brooks said.
