Baby Injured By Piece Of Concrete Thrown Through Window Of Englewood Home

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A baby girl was injured Sunday night, when a piece of concrete was thrown through the window of a home in Englewood.
The 7-month-old girl's family say Sunday night she was sleeping on a bed in a home in the 1400 block of West 73rd Street when a piece of concrete went through the window bouncing off a wall and hitting the her in the head. Police described the incident as a domestic dispute.
Relatives identified the girl as Jamyah Lee, who was taken to the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital, where her condition was stabilized. Relatives identified the girl as Jamyah Lee.
The family says she is in the ICU and will be in the hospital for the foreseeable future and there are concerns about bleeding around the brain.
They say it all began because of one man's misplaced anger.
"The kid had to suffer for something that was so… it was just so senseless it was stupid," said Patricia Hicks, the baby's grandmother.
Hicks said a 27-year-old man was looking for one of her friends. He was angry and when Hicks told the man that friend wasn't at her home he got agitated and then got a piece of concrete and threw it at the home near 73rd place and Loomis.
They believe he tried to send a message. Instead he sent a 7-month-old girl to the hospital.
No one was in custody Monday afternoon. The family says the police know exactly who they are looking for.
It was not immediately clear if the man who threw the piece of concrete was related to the baby.
