Bears Draft Grades: Pundits Generally High On Chicago Draft Class

(CBS) We won't know how the Bears' 2015 draft class pans out for, oh, at least a three solid years or so, but let's be real. That never stops experts and draftniks from sharing rapid reaction grades shortly after the conclusion of the big event.

Here's a quick reminder of Chicago's selections:

Round 1: WR Kevin White
Round 2: DT Eddie Goldman
Round 3: C Hroniss Grasu
Round 4: RB Jeremy Langford
Round 5: S Adrian Amos
Round 6: OL Tayo Fabuluje

Now without further ado, let's take a look at how Chicago's draft class is initially view by various publications and outlets.

Yahoo! Sports: B+

"Kevin White is a great fit alongside Alshon Jeffery and could surpass (Brandon) Marshall as a player one day. Goldman was a great pick, and the Hroniss Grasu and Jeremy Langford selections were safe but solid. The nitpicker might lament the lack of a linebacker in in this crew, but the talent to choose from didn't warrant a pick there."

Rotoworld: B

"Rookie GM Ryan Pace entered Thursday with too many needs to worry about drafting positions. He needs contributors. And I think he came away with a lot of them. White is a monster on the perimeter who can win over the top and turn short catches into long gains. Goldman lacks flash, but is willing to do the dirty work inside and will bolster Chicago's mediocre run defense. I think Grasu provided excellent value in round three and believe he will be a long-term fixture at center."

Sports Illustrated: B

"Florida State defensive tackle Eddie Goldman gives the Bears the run-plugger they need in the second round, and Oregon center Hroniss Grasu adds toughness and intelligence to John Fox's offensive line. The obvious need for the Bears was at safety, and the pick of Penn State's Adrian Amos should really help."

CBSSports.com: B

"They got two starters in White and third-round center Hroniss Grasu."

SB Nation: B

"Ryan Pace in his first year in Chicago filled a bunch of the team's top needs and found at least two starters in White and Goldman. White is an upgrade over the departed Brandon Marshall and Goldman is an impactful nose tackle. Grasu should challenge for the starting center job early in his career."

Bleacher Report: B

"Goldman adds beef to a defensive line that suffered the loss of Stephen Paea—Goldman doesn't have Paea's upfield motor, but he'll hold the line. Grasu is a fine addition to a fine and young offensive line. The Bears have relied a huge amount—a foolhardy amount—on the versatility and durability of tailback Matt Forte. Langford has similar tools, frame and vision and maybe a little more speed to the outside. He showed a more NFL-ready skill set than Le'Veon Bell while both were at Michigan State. Great value, great fit."

NFL.com: A

"New GM Ryan Pace grabbed a player with arguably the highest upside in the draft. Jay Cutler said goodbye to Brandon Marshall and hello to someone with the potential to be even better in White, which has to make Cutler happy even if the front office might have tried to trade him."
