Report: Bears Part Ways With College Scouting Director Marty Barrett

(CBS) Under the new regime led by general manager Ryan Pace, the Bears won't bring back college scouting director Marty Barrett, the Tribune's Brad Biggs reported Tuesday.

Barrett has worked for the Bears for 18 years, first as a scout before becoming the collect scouting director for the past three years. He leaves as his contract hasn't been renewed, Biggs reported.

Prior to his time in Chicago, Barrett had worked for several seasons with the New Orleans Saints, from 1995-'97.
