Foundation Says Thank You To Caretakers At Lurie, Prentice Hospitals

(CBS) -- The Jackson Chance Foundations is saying "Thanks A Whole Brunch" to hospital caretakers this mother's day weekend with a brunch at Chucks: A Kerry Simon Kitchen.

"We've invited all the caretakers for the NICU at Lurie Children's and Northwestern Prentice as a thank-you in honor of Mother's Day to celebrate everything they do for the babies in the NICU," said Carrie Meghie.

Meghie co-founded the Jackson Chance Foundation in memory of her son who spent nearly all of his 10-month life in the neonatal intensive care unit.

The foundation provides free parking and transportation to every family with a baby in the NICU at Lurie.

In addition to brunch, Lurie and Prentice moms are getting a free night's stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago as part of "Relax Within Reach."
