White Sox Demote 2B Micah Johnson To Triple-A
(CBS) The White Sox have optioned second baseman Micah Johnson to Triple-A Charlotte, they announced Thursday.
Chicago will make a corresponding move before Friday's game at Oakland. It's expected to be the call-up of second baseman Carlos Sanchez, who is hitting .344 at Triple-A.
Johnson made the White Sox roster out of spring training and is hitting .270 with no homers, three RBIs, eight runs and a .333 on-base percentage in 27 games this season.
Johnson entered the season rated as the fourth-best prospect in Chicago's organization, per Baseball America.
