The boot camp kicked off in Englewood with sessions on finding capital, improving credit, legal requirements and having a presence online.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel told the businesses people there that the city needs them to succeed.

"Your success is our success," Emanuel said. "If you're growing, guess what? We're growing…the mindset in city government is not to figure out what your problems are, but to try to figure out what your solutions are."

Google was helping the entrepreneurs the ins and outs of internet marketing when the mayor stopped by.
