Elgin Police Searching For Man Who Attacked Female Jogger

(CBS) -- Elgin police are searching for a man who attacked a female jogger Wednesday morning.

At 11:51 a.m., police responded to McBride Street north of Kimball Street where a female jogger was approached by an unknown man who threw her to the ground.

A nearby bicyclist witnessed the attack and stopped to assist the jogger and the attacker fled, police said.

Police searched the nearby area including the use of a K9 but could not locate the assailant.

The attacker is described as a white male with reddish/brown hair and was last seen wearing a green shirt and light colored pants.
