Electrician Buys $2 Million Lottery Ticket While Running Errands

Lottery Winner Was Running Errands

(CBS) -- A suburban man won $2 million dollars off of a lottery ticket he picked up while out running errands for his fiancée.

Earlier this month, Chase Knapp bought a scratch off ticket while out getting pet food and quarters.

Now, the Villa Park man is using some of his winnings to pay off expenses for his October wedding. Knapp says family members have already asked: What do you get a millionaire for his wedding?

The 32-year-old electrician, who grew up in Downers Grove, says he doesn't really care what the guests bring.

He and his bride will go on the honeymoon to Mexico they already had planned. The first big item they plan to buy is a house, says Knapp, who would like to retire early.
