Raid On The Home Of 'Jared From Subway' Connected To Child Pornography Investigation

(CBS) -- The home of Jared Fogle, who was made famous as the spokesperson for Subway, was raided by the FBI on Tuesday morning. The FBI have not publicly confirmed the reason for the search on Fogle's Zionsville, Indiana home, though sources with CBS News and WISH have confirmed that the raid does stem from a child pornography investigation.

In aerial footage from NBC, FBI agents were seen taking electronics from Fogle's home, including a computer. Fogle himself was seen exiting the house and entering the FBI truck.

In April, Russell Taylor, the executive director of the Jared Foundation, a nonprofit that works to combat obesity in children, was arrested on charges related to child pornography.

"I was shocked to learn of the allegations against Mr. Taylor and effective immediately, the Jared Foundation is severing all ties with Mr. Taylor," Fogle wrote at the time.

After losing 200 pounds exclusively eating Subway sandwiches, Fogle became the face for Subway.

Subway and Jared Fogle have mutually agreed to suspended their relationship, the company said.

"Jared continues to cooperate with authorities and he expects no actions to be forthcoming," a Subway spokesman said in statement. "Both Jared and Subway agree that this was the appropriate step to take."

Former Jared Foundation director Russell Taylor actually tried to kill himself after his arrest. His attorney Brad Banks told CBS 2's Roseanne Tellez he recovered and is being held in Federal custody pending an indictment.
