Man Shot And Killed In Austin
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in Austin on the West Side late Wednesday, according to police.
Just before midnight in the 1300 block of North Lockwood Avenue, he got into a fight with another person who pulled out a gun and shot him repeatedly, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
He was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where he was pronounced dead, Gaines said. The Cook County medical examiner's office did not immediately confirm the fatality.
Police said the shooting might have been gang-related.
