Two Teens Shot In Auburn Gresham

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two 17-year-old boys were shot late Wednesday in the same South Side Auburn Gresham block that left two others wounded on Tuesday.

The teens were getting into a vehicle in the 8300 block of South Kerfoot Avenue about 10:40 p.m. when someone approached and opened fire, police said.

One of the boys was shot in the head and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. His condition wasn't immediately known.

The other teen was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition with a leg wound, police said.

A separate shooting on the same street early Tuesday left a 50-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman wounded.

The two were sitting on a porch about 2:30 a.m. when someone exited a vehicle nearby and fired shots, police said.

The woman was shot in the chest, buttocks and abdomen and was taken in critical condition to Christ, police said. The man was shot in the arm and taken to St. Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, where his condition was stabilized.
