Four Athletes Who Would Stink In Other Sports

By David Heim

We've seen numerous times over the years athletes playing in other sports, and for the most part, performing pretty well. It's the athlete gene in them that allows them to keep up in unfamiliar sports. Michael Jordan in baseball, and golf. Bo Jackson in baseball. The list goes on and on. But what about the athletes that should stick to their day jobs? Take Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant for example here. Durant took part in Richard Sherman's celebrity softball game Sunday. In the bottom of the second inning, Los Angeles Clippers' Jamal Crawford hit a routine popup Durant's way.

Can of corn!

Oh no Kevin Durant.

Durant later told KIRO-TV that the sun was in his eyes. How about we turn the hat around Kevin. Maybe that'll work.

Anyways, here are four athletes who would stink in other sports.

Floyd Mayweather In MMA

Boxers like Mayweather grapple with their hands. Outside of that, there isn't much of a way to take down your opponent. In UFC, where basically anything goes, elbows, legs and knees are flying around in efforts to take people down. That is definitely a style of fighting Floyd Mayweather isn't used to. Imagine 'Money'  in the octagon with, let's say, Conor McGregor or Ronda Rousey? Where do I sign up for that one?

Shaq As A Major League Catcher

Perhaps no position in baseball is more demanding than catcher. Imagine having to squat down, all of the weight on your body on your knees for three hours. Just seems miserable. Now imagine having to do that and you're 7' 1''. Nope. That's not working out. Sorry Shaq.

J.J. Watt As Soccer Player

J.J. Watt is paid big bucks to use his hands. He has to in order to get to the quarterback. To be honest, every defensive lineman has to, but we'll use Watt as our example since he's the premier player at the position. Imagine tying Watt's hands behind his back and telling him to go get the quarterback. The scary thing is he would probably still find a way, but on the soccer field, where he absolutely cannot touch the ball, he would probably struggle.

Tiger Woods In Any Other Sport

Tiger can barely walk 18 holes without hurting something. And no offense to golf, but it's not as nearly as demanding as the four major sports. I just don't see things ending too well for Tiger on a football field, for example.
