Blackhawks To Appear On National TV 21 Times In 2015-'16 Regular Season

(CBS) The NBC Sports Group is riding the wave of the Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks' success.

Chicago will appear on national television a league-high 21 times next season, it was announced Monday. That includes 12 exclusive games on NBC or NBC Sports Network, as well as nine other contests.

One of the highlights is the Blackhawks facing the Wild in a Feb. 21 contest at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis as part of the NHL's Stadium Series. That game is schedule for 2:30 p.m. CT on NBC.

The Blackhawks will also be front and center to open the NHL season, as they'll host the Rangers and raise their championship banner in an Oct. 7 matchup at 7 p.m. on NBCSN.

The 21 appearances are the most the Blackhawks have had since 2009-'10, when their championship run started, according to Crain's Chicago Business reported Danny Ecker.
