Lightning Damages Orland Park Home

ORLAND PARK (CBS) -- No one was injured in a fire that left a southwest suburban Orland Park home damaged early Wednesday.

A neighbor called at 2:46 a.m. to report a fire at the house in the 10800 block of Scarlet Drive.

When crews arrived they saw heavy fire through the roof.

The blaze was extinguished by about 4:30 a.m.

The owners were not in the home at the time.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation Wednesday morning, but it might have been started by a lightning strike.
