Police Search For Teen Who Abducted Her Son

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are searching for a 17-year-old woman who abducted her 1-year-old son during a supervised visit Friday afternoon on the West Side.

Solonia Anderson was visiting with her son Beyoun Collins at the Greenebaum Playlot Park at 4300 W. Wabansia when she left with him about 1:15 p.m., according to an alert from Chicago Police.

Anderson does not have lawful custody of her son, police said, and neither has been seen since.

Anderson is described as a 5-foot, 115-pound black woman with medium-length black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray tank top and black shorts.

Her son is described as 2-foot-5 and 25 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and black shorts.

Anyone with information should call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8200.
