Cold Start To Summer A Distant Memory After 3-Week String Of Warm Temps
CHICAGO (CBS) -- After an unusually cold start to the summer, Chicago has seen a high temperature in the 80s or hotter every day for the past three weeks.
The official temperature in Chicago hit 82 degrees shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday at O'Hare. According to the National Weather Service, the city's streak of temperatures reaching 80 degrees or more has reached three weeks. That trend is likely to continue at least through the middle of next week.
High temperatures will keep rather steady, ranging from 81 to 84 all the way through Wednesday, with overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s.
There will be a chance of rain in the second half of Friday, and another chance of scattered showers Sunday into Monday, but otherwise, it should be ideal summer weather for Chicago for the next seven days.
