Two Hurt By Broken Glass When Shots Fired At Wendy's Drive-Thru

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two men were hurt by broken glass when shots were fired in a drive-thru line dispute at a South Side Wendy's fast food restaurant late Thursday in Fuller Park.

About 11:50 p.m., a vehicle tried to cut in line at the restaurant in the 200 block of West Garfield Boulevard, and a gunman in the passenger seat of an SUV opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The men, ages 20 and 23, in the first vehicle were injured by broken glass and taken to Stroger Hospital, where their conditions stabilized, police said. No one was struck by bullets.

The SUV, which had a female driver, took off after the shooting, police said.
