Ryan Pace: Kevin White Could Miss Entire Season

(CBS) Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Kevin White could miss the entire season, Bears general manager Ryan Pace announced on Saturday.

The seventh overall pick in this year's draft, White suffered a setback last week after sustaining stress fracture in his shin during OTAs, the team said. In multiple interviews during training camp, Bears coach John Fox had indicated that White was only suffering from shin splints.

Pace said White will undergo surgery and miss at least the first six games of the season, as he'll start the year on the physically-unable-to-perform list. He was being counted on to be one of Chicago's go-to receivers alongside Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal.
