Calm And Cool Week Ahead For Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Most of this will be a bit on the cool side for August, with temperatures feeling more like fall.

It was also a bit windy on Monday, with gusts of up to 30 mph expected during the afternoon and evening, before tapering off on Tuesday.

While clouds will move in Monday afternoon and evening, rain won't be a worry until Friday night.

Those breezes will keep it feeling cool outside, with a high of about 75 in Chicago on Monday, which is about 6 degrees below the normal high for this time of year.

Temperatures will drop to about 55 overnight, and tomorrow should be sunny, but quite cool, with a high of only 72.

Temperatures should be back to about average by Friday, but the entire week should be dry and sunny before then. Highs on Wednesday and Thursday should be in the mid to upper 70s, and the 80s could return on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
