Man Killed In Back Of The Yards Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man died after he was shot Wednesday evening in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.
The 23-year-old was in an alley in the 1100 block of West 51st Street about 7:30 p.m. when someone approached him, pulled out a handgun and started firing, police said.
He was shot in the back and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.
The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the death Thursday morning.
