WATCH: Burglars Ignore Cameras As They Empty Avalon Park Home

(CBS) – One second, the television was on the wall. The next, it was being carried away.

Bold burglars cleared out a Chicago home and didn't seem to care their crime is captured on security camera. CBS 2's Suzanne Le Mignot has the crystal-clear video and talks with the stunned home owner.

Tyrone Taylor says burglars broke into his Avalon Park home on June 5 and carried out their crime in about 45 minutes. They grabbed a 55-inch flat TV right off a wall and calmly walked out with computer towers.

At one point, they look under a mattress and go to a nearby jewelry box, taking every valuable piece of jewelry that Taylor's wife owns.

"I had watches my kids gave me, or friends gave me over the years, and they just walked out with it," he says.

One of the suspects puts a crowbar down the front of his pants. It's believed that's what was used to pry open the back door. Realizing they're being caught on a camera, one of the men unplugs it – apparently not knowing there are about 10 other cameras in and outside the house, recording every move they make.

"I hope they get caught. I would love to see them caught by the police," Taylor says.

Chicago Police say they would love that. They say if you recognize the men in the surveillance video, call Area South detectives at (312) 747-8273.
