Listen: Pat Hughes Calls The Final Out Of Jake Arrieta's No-Hitter

(CBS) Cubs right-hander Jake Arrieta entered the history books Sunday night by firing his first career no-hitter, and venerable play-by-play man Pat Hughes provided a fitting and terrific call of the ending on WBBM Newsradio 780.

"Arrieta tugs at the cap, the 6-foot-4-inch bearded right-hander," Hughes says as Arrieta prepares to deliver his final pitch to Chase Utley. "Again, looks very calm. A ball and two strikes on Utley. And the pitch. Swing and a miss! A no-hitter! Jake Arrieta has just pitched a no-hitter at Dodger Stadium! A curveball got Utley swiniging, and Arrieta being mobbed by his teammates. Cubs win 2-0. What a great performance by Jake Arrieta."
