Fox Disappointed To Lose Debut But Says Bears Can Build On Loss To Packers

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago coach John Fox has mixed emotions after losing his Bears debut to the rival Packers on Sunday at Soldier Field.

The Bears had a 13-10 lead at halftime, but the Packers scored 21 points in the second half to win 31-23. Fox says despite the loss, there's much to build on.

"It was pretty good for the first 30 minutes, I think you just got to be able to close," Fox said. "I think that is something that we can learn from and hopefully get better in the second half and fourth quarter of games moving forward."

In a key fourth-quarter possession, quarterback Jay Cutler had three straight incompletions from the Green Bay 2-yard line. Fox indicated the team regretted not giving running back Matt Forte a chance to score before turning the ball over on downs.

"You'd like to have some calls back when it doesn't work, but that's just what we do," Fox said. "Hopefully we can learn from that and get better in that area."
