Missing Brothers Found Safe

Updated 09/15/15 - 1:26 p.m.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two brothers reported missing Monday after they failed to return home from school have been found safe.

Jamil Nash, 10, and Jamir Nash, 7, had last been seen around 4 p.m. Monday outside Chopin Elementary School, at the corner of Campbell Avenue and Iowa Street, according to a community alert from Chicago Police. Sources said their mother reported them missing when the boys never made it home.

Tuesday afternoon, police said the boys had been found safe, and detectives planned to question their father. Police said there was a custody dispute between the boys' parents.

Their aunt, Tionna Pickett, said their father has taken them on at least three other occasions.
