Body Found Along I-88 In Aurora

(STMW) – A woman's body was found along the north side of Interstate 88 Thursday in west suburban Aurora.

About 1:35 p.m., in a heavily wooded area near I-88 just west of Deerpath Road in Aurora, a vehicle was spotted and the body of an adult female -was found by an IDOT mowing crew, according to a statement from Aurora city spokesman Dan Ferrelli.

The body, which was decomposed, was discovered about 200 yards west of the vehicle, Ferrelli said.

The Kane County Coroner is at the scene, Ferrelli said. Aurora police are investigating.
