Durkin: Week 3 NFL Picks

By Dan Durkin--

(CBS) Two weeks in, the NFL is as unpredictable as ever. There are two dominant teams -- Green Bay and New England -- then a cascading list of question marks.

Here's my take on how this weekend's action will play out.

(Home team in all CAPS)

Steelers 27, RAMS 21 -- noon

The Steelers' offensive line will have their hands full against the league's best defensive line, but Antonio Brown has emerged as the league's premier playmaker.

Chargers 24, VIKINGS 23  -- noon

The Chargers go on the road for the second straight week to play a Vikings team that got back to its identity -- running the ball and playing defense. I still like Philip Rivers against a shaky Vikings secondary.

TEXANS 20, Bucs 17 -- noon

It will be an ugly game between two struggling offenses, but the Texans defense will make the different at home against rookie Jameis Winston.

JETS 24, Eagles 20 -- noon

Chip Kelly has nobody but himself to blame for the Eagles' 0-2 start. They look completely out of sorts on offense and will be dominated by a physical Jets defense headed to a 3-0 start.

PANTHERS 24, Saints 17 -- noon

The Saints have struggled with Drew Brees, so what might they look like without him? For the third straight week, Cam Newton will carry the Panthers to victory.

PATRIOTS 37, Jaguars 16 -- noon

The Patriots are getting it done with their offense, but their defensive front is underappreciated. The Patriots will turn up the heat on Blake Bortles.

Bengals 27, RAVENS 23 -- noon

The Ravens look lost on both sides of the ball, while the Bengals are playing as well as any team in the league. A.J. Green should have a big game against a shoddy Ravens secondary.

Raiders 23, BROWNS 21 -- noon

The Browns' game of musical chairs at quarterback continues, while the Raiders' passing game shredded the Ravens last week.

Colts 27, TITANS 20 -- noon

Andrew Luck can't block for himself or play cornerback. The flaws in the Colts' framework have been exposed, but they'll pick up their first win at home against the Titans.

Falcons 24, COWBOYS 20 -- noon

The Cowboys will be without their two best offensive players, which is a huge challenge even at home. They'll attempt to establish the run, but the Matt Ryan-to-Julio Jones connection looks unstoppable.

CARDINALS 30, 49ers 23 -- 3:05 p.m.

The Cardinals offense is firing on all cylinders and will poke holes in an already porous 49ers secondary.

SEAHAWKS 37, Bears 9 -- 3:25 p.m.

It's the most lopsided matchup of the weekend. The Seahawks will pick up their first win of the season in dominant fashion against the bad-news Bears.

Bills 20, DOLPHINS 17-- 3:25 p.m.

The Dolphins have no identity on either side of the football and are already in a must-win situation. The Bills will win the trench battles and the game.

Broncos 23, LIONS 20 -- 7:30 p.m.

The Broncos defense has been outstanding and will dominate a leaky Lions offensive line.

PACKERS 31, Chiefs 20 --Monday night, 7:30 p.m.

The Packers' depth has been on display all year, as they've withstood injuries to key players and don't miss a beat. They'll light up the Chiefs at home.

Season record through Week 2: 16-16
