Blackhawks Cut Roster Down To 25 Players
(CBS) The Blackhawks trimmed their roster to 25 players Friday.
Chicago has reassigned forwards Marko Dano, Ryan Hartman, Vincent Hinostroza, Brandon Mashinter, Dennis Rasmussen and Garret Ross and defensemen Erik Gustafsson and Ville Pokka to AHL Rockford.
The active roster is now comprised of 13 forwards, 9 defensemen and three goaltenders.
The Blackhawks have their final preseason game Saturday, at home against the Stars. Chicago opens the regular season by hosting the New York Rangers next Wednesday, when the team's Stanley Cup banner will be raised.
