Cubs Go With 10 Pitchers, 15 Position Players For Wild-Card Game

(CBS) The Cubs' wild-card game roster for Wednesday night's contest against Pirates is comprised of 15 position players and 10 pitchers.

Neil Ramirez and C.J. Edwards were a couple of the notable pitchers who were left off who some thought might have a chance to be on the roster. Including a third starting pitcher in Kyle Hendricks was the one surprise for Chicago, as he has never made a relief appearance and Lester provides a second option in case starter Jake Arrieta needs to leave the game early.

Opposing Arrieta will be Pirates right-hander Gerrit Cole. First pitch is set for 7:08 p.m.

The winner of the game can reset their roster ahead of the NLDS.
