NLDS Schedule: Cubs-Cardinals

(CBS) With a 4-0 win against the Pirates in the National League wild-card game on Wednesday, the Cubs advanced to the NLDS, where they'll meet the longtime rival Cardinals in the playoffs for the first time ever.

St. Louis took the season series 11-8 over Chicago.

Here's a look at the NLDS schedule. All times are CT.

Game 1: Friday, Oct. 9 at St. Louis, 5:45 p.m. (TBS)
Jon Lester vs. John Lackey
Game 2: Saturday, Oct. 10 at St. Louis, 4:37 p.m. (TBS)
Kyle Hendricks vs. Jaime Garcia
Game 3: Monday, Oct. 12 at Chicago, 3:37 p.m. or 5:07 p.m. (TBS)
Jake Arrieta vs. Michael Wacha
Game 4: Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Chicago, 3:37 p.m. or 7:07 p.m. (TBS)*
TBA vs. Lance Lynn
Game 5: Thursday, Oct. 15 at St. Louis, 3:37 p.m. or 7:07 p.m. (TBS)*

Notes:

Game 3 will start at 5:07 p.m. Monday if the Royals-Astros and Blue Jays-Rangers series each extend to a fourth game. If one of those series ends in a sweep, the start time for Cubs-Cardinals Game 3 will be 3:37 p.m.

Game 4 will start at 3:37 p.m. Tuesday if the Dodgers-Mets series extends to four games. If the Dodgers-Mets series ends in a sweep, Cubs-Cardinals Game 4 will start at 7:07 p.m.

Game 5 will start at 3:37 p.m. next Thursday if the Dodgers-Mets series extends to five games. If the Dodgers-Mets series ends in a sweep, Cubs-Cardinals Game 5 will start at 7:07 p.m.
