No Surprise Here: On A Tear, Jorge Soler To Bat 2nd For Cubs In Game 4
(CBS) There was no way Cubs manager Joe Maddon wasn't going to have outfielder Jorge Soler in the lineup for Game 4 of the NLDS on Tuesday afternoon.
With a 2-1 series lead and the opportunity to clinch their first ever postseason series at Wrigley Field, the Cubs will bat Soler second again after he's started the postseason on a never-before-seen tear, reaching base in his first nine plate appearances to set an MLB record.
Elsewhere, Javier Baez will start at shortstop and bat ninth after Addison Russell suffered a hamstring strain while legging out a triple Monday night.

Update: 1:08 p.m. -- Cardinals manager Mike Matheny announces that catcher Yadier Molina is a scratch from the lineup due to a thumb injury that has limited his hitting ability. Matheny confirmed that Molina is available to catch if needed.
