Schaumburg Man Charged With Robbing Lisle Dunkin' Donuts

(STMW) -- A Schaumburg man has been charged with robbing a Dunkin' Donuts store last month in west suburban Lisle.

About 6:45 p.m. on Sept. 17, Daniel J. Marziani walked into the store at 1109 Maple Ave., placed his hand behind his back and demanded cash from the employee at the register, according to Lisle police.

The employee handed over about $400 in cash and the man took off in a black Ford Focus, eastbound on Maple, police said.

Marziani, a 29-year-old from the 1500 block of Somerset Lane in Schaumburg, didn't show a weapon and no one was hurt, police said.

Police released surveillance footage a day after the robbery, and he was arrested Tuesday with help from Downers Grove police.

Marziani was charged with a felony count of robbery for the Dunkin' Donuts incident. He is also facing misdemeanor counts of retail theft, child endangerment, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless conduct, according to the DuPage County sheriff's office. It wasn't immediately clear what those charges stemmed from.

He was ordered held without bond in court Tuesday.
