The 47-year-old teacher had been on medical leave as she battled cancer when her husband, Craig Cunningham, stabbed her to death at their home Tuesday. He called relatives and confessed to the murder before taking his life by walking in front of a semi on I-55. Police found a bloody knife in his abandoned car.

The Go Fund Me site that has been set up to help her two children is growing.

The goal of the "Sue's Angels" site is now $30,000. As of mid-morning Saturday, $18,930 had been raised, with 312 people contributing.

A spokesperson for the teacher's family wrote that they are "amazed and humbled by the outpouring of the generosity, love and support."
